Naval Group
DCNS changes its name to Naval Group.
The group pursues a responsible and sustainable international development policy based on innovative partnerships within the framework of controlled transfers of technology. Naval Group creates thousands of direct and indirect jobs wherever it establishes large shipyards by creating long-term ties with local manufacturers. It also contributes to ensuring that each country acquires complete naval sovereignty.
Naval Group has created centres of excellence for experimental research and development (R&D) in Australia, Belgium and Singapore, and plans on opening more in the future, the aim being to enhance customer knowledge and place them at the heart of the innovation process. These centres also make it possible to forge links with research institutes and universities, local authorities and partners and thus promoting the group's reputation locally. Other benefits include developing collaborations with researchers and academics from other horizons, giving us the advantage of a different perspective and approach to various issues.
