Enhancement & Upgrade Policy

New PULSE Reflex Functionality for PULSE Labshop Software Maintenance and Upgrade Agreement (M1) Customers

Designed to run alongside PULSE Labshop real-time applications, our new PULSE Reflex post-processing applications offer high productivity and ease of use in a modern, intuitive user interface environment. We want current PULSE Labshop customers to get the benefits of this major advancement so, with the release of PULSE 14.01, we are providing all our Labshop M1 customers with like-for-like PULSE Reflex functionality in addition to their existing software.

If you are an existing PULSE Labshop customer with a valid M1 contract, simply download and install PULSE 14.01 from the online License Centre, and your PULSE Labshop licenses will give you access to equivalent functionality inside PULSE Reflex. Remember, this is additional to your existing PULSE Labshop functionality.

So, for example, if you have a PULSE system with Type 7700 (FFT and CPB), you will also be able to use the FFT and CPB functionality in PULSE Reflex, giving you both real-time multi-analysis in PULSE Labshop, as before, and new offline analysis and reporting capabilities in PULSE Reflex. If you have Type 7789 (PULSE Time) you will be able to use the powerful new Time Editor in PULSE Reflex.

The table below sets out the range of possibilities with a description of which parts of PULSE Reflex are supplied with each PULSE Labshop type number. Note that this also includes PULSE Reflex Geometry which is supplied to those customers who have either the Modal or ODS Test Consultants with the Animation Option, thus easing the way for PULSE Reflex Modal Analysis.



All PULSE systems with current M1 contracts receive PULSE Reflex Base, Type 8700, which provides access to:

• Project Browser: Data management including meta-data
• Scratchpad Calculator: Allowing you to perform basic maths and statistics on your results
• Data viewing using the powerful PULSE Reflex Display Manager
• Integrated reporting using embedded Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or Excel.

In addition to Type 8700, you receive like-for-like PULSE Reflex functionality as part of your PULSE Labshop license as follows:

• PULSE FFT/CPB Analysis - Types 7700, 7770, 7771

If you have the basic PULSE analyser, Type 7700, you already have comprehensive FFT-based analysis capabilities plus standards based CPB analysis. In addition to this, at PULSE 14.0, you will also receive the equivalent post-processing functionality in PULSE Reflex Basic Processing Type 8702. You will not receive all the functionality of Type 8702, but you can upgrade to this for a substantially reduced price by virtue of your existing PULSE Reflex functionality. Please contact your local Brüel & Kjær representative for details.
A similar arrangement will apply to customers with Type 7770 and 7771 analysers although the equivalent PULSE Reflex functionality depends on which of these you have - FFT functionality for Type 7770 and CPB functionality for 7771.

• PULSE Time – Type 7789

For those customers who also have PULSE Time Type 7789, you will receive the Time Editor in Type 8702, which not only includes an outstanding new time data processing tool, but also allows you to upgrade to the full Type 8702 for an even lower price.

• PULSE Order Analysis – Type 7702

Customers with PULSE Order Analysis Type 7702 will receive PULSE Reflex Basic Order Analysis Type 8704.

• PULSE Data Manager – Type 7767

Customers with PULSE Data Manager (excluding Type 7767-A) will receive PULSE Reflex Base

• PULSE Animation Option – BZ-5613

If you have the Animation Option used together with ODS Test Consultant for animation of deflection shapes or with Modal Test Consultant for FRF-animation, you will receive the PULSE Reflex Geometry Type 8719 to be used with PULSE Reflex Modal Analysis Type 8720/8721 for mode shape animation.

Upgrade Policy

Expanding your possibilities with PULSE Reflex, you are also able to purchase additional software licenses at a special campaign price. Contact your local Brüel & Kjær representative to discuss your upgrade possibilities. The upgrade policy is valid until 31st December 2010.
