ASAM ODS

During development and production of vehicles and components large amounts of data are created in multiple departments using several test platforms, often with incompatible data formats

ASAM ODS Connectivity Type 8605 supports an open data environment where users can work with data from different sources

ASAM: Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems. A standardisation organisation founded by a group of German automotive companies
ODS: Open Data Service. A standard for describing, organising, saving and retrieving measurement data in a consistent way across different platforms
ATF/XML: Exchange data format

ASAM ODS Connectivity Type 8605 supports export and import of data in ATF/XML file format.

Export:

Data to be exported may be dragged directly from a PULSE project or searched in the PULSE Data Manager and displayed for quick validation

If needed, tools are available to map the PULSE meta-data (data describing the test – setup, test conditions, test object etc) onto the ASAM ODS application model before export

Import:

ASAM ODS function data may be imported into PULSE Data Manager (PDM).

If no database exists, a built-in tool will support creation of a PDM database with meta-data fields, that matches the application model of an ASAM ODS ATF/XML file.

The powerful PDM functionality can now be used to filter, sort, compare, report data from different platforms
